Graduation card

One more graduation card to publish here. I played with my stamps and dies along with watercolours and this cluster was the end result. Added some text paper and vellum behind the cluster and glitter tape and gold sequins. This was so much fun. I had absolutely no clue where this was going until it was ready. Well most of my crafts are that way. If I like it, then its ready :)

Tässä vielä yksi ylioppilaskortti. Leikin leimoilla, stansseilla ja vesiväreillä ja tällainen rykelmä oli lopputuloksena. Taustaan liimasin tekstipaperia, jonka päälle vellumin palan. Vähän glitteriteippiä ja kultaisia paljetteja. Olipa hauskaa taas! Vaikka aloittaessani ei ollut kyllä mitään ajatusta millainen kortista tulee. No, ei mulla useinkaan ole minkään askartelun kanssa tarkkaa visiota. Sit se on valmis kun se näyttää omaan silmään hyvältä.

Hello Baby card

Last saturday I had some crafty free time (= quality me time ;)) and finished more than one project. Successful day, yay! One of these was this cute baby card.  

I have had these die-cut giraf figures on my desk for some time now and finally one of them got onto a card. Victory! This card is made entirely out of leftovers which seems to be my way to make cards. :D I really love the end result, so maybe I'll just stick with this procedure.

Viime lauantaina sain hieman omaa askarteluaikaa (laatuaikaa, jippii!) ja käytin sen ihanien projektien parissa. Tässä suloinen vauvakortti, joka on tapani mukaan tehty kokonaan muiden projektien ylijäämätarvikkeilla. Jopa ikuisuuden käyttöön pääsemistä odottanut kirahvi kuvio pääsi vihdoin äksöniin mukaan. :)

Card with glitter and woodgrain!

Happy Monday everybody!

My lovely friend Merja had a birthday in the beginning of this month and I made her this glittery woodgrain card. 

First I stamped the woodgrain background. I played with texture paste on a scrap piece of paper and wanted to add more texture to the piece with paint that was accidentally left open and had dried a bit. That turned out great, I need to do that more often :) After all this action had dried, I used inexpensive glitter glue with my new-ish butterfly mask. I cut the piece into a tag shape and added twine. 

Last thing to do was to stamp the greeting and to put it all together. I really like how this turned out. My favourite end results are the ones where I just play and see whats gonna happen.

Heippa ja hyvää maanantaita!

Ihanalla Merjalla oli synttärit alkukuusta ja väkertelin hälle tällaisen kortin. Tagia tuunailin vähän kohopastalla ja kuivahtaneella maalilla ennenkuin levittelin siihen Tiimarin glitteriliimaa maskin läpi. Tulikin aikas ihana lopputulos, vaikka itse sanonkin :)

Four cards

When you look at these four cards I made, it might seem like each were made by different person or at least not on the same day. But no, they were made during one nap time last week.

I used mostly leftovers from scrapbooking and and all images used were colored in before. Sometimes card making can be a no-brain activity to me at its best. I'm not saying these are masterpieces, but made me pretty happy just to do something when I wasn't feeling like scrapbooking.

Nämä neljä korttia tuli tehtyä yhtien päikkärien aikana viime viikolla. Käytin lähinnä ylijäämäkamaa skräppäyksestä ja muutenkin oli täysin "aivotonta" askartelua :D. Kortteilu on parhaimmillaan minulle sellaista ettei tarvitse paljonkaan ajatella. 

Birthday Card - Some Odd Girl

Hello! A card for a change this time. I got a card order to make a birthday card to a 18-year old girl with pink. 

I love how well pink goes with blue. Blue must be my new favourite neutral color. I love to make cards out of small scraps that are left after a scrapbooking session. I keep all small scraps in a basket, so they are easy to go thought and pic the ones I like. 

Stamp is a Some Odd Girl digi stamp. I just love digi stamps because they are so easy to use. I usually print out more than one at a time, so I have them on hand when I need them.

Sain korttitilauksen 18-vuotiaalle tytölle, ja väritoiveena pinkki. Pinkin kaveriksi sopii ihanasti sininen väri, josta onkin tullut mun suosikki neutraali väri. Kortti syntyi säläkorin sisällöstä ja Some Odd Girlin digileimalla.
