Scrapbook layout: Prinsessoja & ritareita

Hello and welcome to my blog!

This layout just grows and grows more on me each time I look at it. I love it! 

Maybe it's because I love puffy stickers, maybe it's because I got to use that gold vellum as a background, maybe it's because I love how that title worked out. Maybe its all of these in addition to my love of storytelling. One memory recorded again. Yay!

Tykkään tästä sivusta kerta kerran jälkeen enemmän ja enemmän. Sain käytettyä taustana kultapalloisen vellumpaperin ja melkein kaikki jäljellä olevat pehmotarrat tuosta arkista. Myös otsikosta tuli todella mieluisa. Ja parhainta on kun on taas yksi muisto tallennettu paperille. Jee!

Scrapbook layout: Mihin se orava meni? #ihanatalbumit

If you don't know, I live in Finland and most of my scrapbooking inspiration, challenges and all that fun stuff comes from some other country. So when someone in Finland makes something this amazing as Minna - ku ite tekee has done with her new book and this free scrapbooking class I'm all in!

As the class is in Finnish, I think I'll switch to Finnish now. :)

Huippumahtavaa, kun Minna Ku ite tekee blogista on jaksanut järjestää kesälle skräppäyskoulun! Toivottavasti mahdollisimman moni uudempikin skräppääjä uskaltaisi lähteä mukaan ja näyttää työnsä meille kaikille! Uusia harrastajia on kiva nähdä täällä blogimaailmassa. 

Ensimmäisessä tehtävässä keskityttiin kolmeen perusasiaan: kuvaan, otsikkoon ja tarinointiin. Tykkäsin tosi paljon siitä, miten Minna selitti kaikki videoissaan ja huomasin muutaman yhtäläisyyden meidän työskentelytavassa. 

Meinasin ensin skräpistää Minnan esimerkkileiskan asettelun, mutta päädyinkin erilaisille urille kuitenkin. Skräpistettävien joukkoon se kyllä jäi, johonkin toiseen kertaan siis. Taustapaperissa oli valmiina nuo plus-merkit alareunassa (oikeasti yläreunassa, mutta käänsin paperin näin päin) ja asettelu lähti sitten siitä, että sivun painopiste olisi tuolla vasemmalla alhalla. Sitä tasapainottamaan halusin hieman koristeita oikealle yläkulmaan ja tarinalle oli sitten paikka tämän rykelmän alapuolella. Otsikko on eriskummallisessa paikassa mun normaalityyliin verraten enkä muutenkaan oikein koskaan käytä kokonaista lausetta otsikkona. Mutta tykkään kyllä siitä ja vaihtelusta toden totta! Lopuksi on melkein aina pakko lisätä vähän roiskeita ja muutama puolihelmitarra. :) 

Oli tosi hauskaa katsoa videot ja lähteä itse askartelemaan niiden pohjalta. Enkä malta odottaa ensiviikkoon kun seuraava koulupäivä koittaa. 

Scrapbook layout: Himohiihtäjä

We are enjoying unusual heat wave here in Finland and what could be more appropriate than to post a skiing layout right now. :D

I love to ski. I didn't use to but now I just love it. If I could have my way I would ski every morning. And listen to podcasts. 

If you don't count the background paper, all papers are from my leftovers bin. I went through it recently and got rid off those papers that I didn't love anymore. Somehow I really like to get rid off stuff. As much as I like to get new stuff.

Mä niin tykkään hiihtää. Jos saisin päättää voisin hiihtää joka aamu. Ja kuunnella podcasteja. Sopivan viileä leiska näihin kuumiin kesäpäiviin. :D Taustapaperia lukuunottamatta kaikki paperit on jämäpussin sisältöä. Siivosin sen vähän aikaa sitten ja nyt sitä tulee käytettyäkin useammin kun sellaiset paperit, joista ei tykkää on laitettu pois. Yläpuolella listattuna mun suosikki kädentaito podcastit, mitkä on sinun suosikkisi? 

Four cards

When you look at these four cards I made, it might seem like each were made by different person or at least not on the same day. But no, they were made during one nap time last week.

I used mostly leftovers from scrapbooking and and all images used were colored in before. Sometimes card making can be a no-brain activity to me at its best. I'm not saying these are masterpieces, but made me pretty happy just to do something when I wasn't feeling like scrapbooking.

Nämä neljä korttia tuli tehtyä yhtien päikkärien aikana viime viikolla. Käytin lähinnä ylijäämäkamaa skräppäyksestä ja muutenkin oli täysin "aivotonta" askartelua :D. Kortteilu on parhaimmillaan minulle sellaista ettei tarvitse paljonkaan ajatella. 

Layout: melko harvinaista

I can't remember if I have already shown this one in my IG feed, but felt like it needed its place in the blog as well. 

This layout is not too old, yet I can't remember when I made it :) I used only one 6x6 paper pad with this and got the idea for this from the background paper. I wanted those speak bubbles to show, and from there I build the page.

I really love those gold foil thickers. All the embellishments are from here and there. I guess that was it. Well, it's good to have another picture and memory recorded.

Tämä sivu on tehty pohjapaperin innoittamana yhden 6x6 paperikon avulla. Halusin, että taustasta näkyisi nuo puhekuplat. Kiva, että yksi muisto on jälleen paperilla.

Layout: Christmas cards 2015

Hello!

I have a habit of scrapbooking christmas card pictures of my girls. This is the only event that I have been able to scrapbook every year, and I try my best to keep it going. It is so nice to look back as the years go by and see the growth in them. So here is how I scrapbooked 2015 christmas card pictures.

Layout is pretty much my usual style, paper layering, embellishment clusters and mist splatters. I wonder when I will get tired of this, if ever.

Kiva kun tulit piipahtamaan täällä blogissani! Yritän skräpätä aina joulukortteihin otettavan valokuvan tytöistä, jotta sitten vuosien päästä olisi hauska nähdä heidän kasvua näidenkin kuvien ja sivujen kautta. Tässä vuoden 2015 korttikuvat skräpättynä talteen. Tyyli leiskassa on tuttu, mutta ainakaan toistaiseksi en ole kyllästynyt.

Layout: En vaihtaisi

Hello there! Sometimes my scrapbooking process is a bit different than usual. I had this cute picture of us girls just waiting for a story to be scrapbooked and couldn't come up with a story! But I really wanted to scrapbook it. So what I did was I decided to have a pocket to the journaling and add it later when I know what I wanted to say. And while I was playing with this beautiful collection by Maggie Holmes and Crate Paper, the story just came to me. 

This time my journaling is behind the photo and because that little vellum envelope I can even add stuff to my journaling later if I fell like I have more to say. I used mainly only Maggie Holmes Shine collection by Crate Paper in this layout, but that journaling card behind the photo is actually a Project Life card.

Halusin skräpätä tämän söpöisen kuvan meistä tytöistä, mutta en keksinyt millään mitään tarinaa kerrottavaksi sivussa. Aloitin kuitenkin leikkimään Maggie Holmesin ja Crate Paperin Shine kokoelman kanssa ja siinä leikkiessä sivun aihekin tuli mieleeni. Jätin tarinoinnin kuitenkin kuvan taakse veliini kirjekuoreen, jonne on hyvä lisätä tarvittaessa lisää tekstiä jos niikseen tulee.

Layout: Hexagon party!

I might never get tired of hexagons :)

I used my new-to-me hexagon die with my favourite Amy Tangerine 6x6 paper pad. And here is the result. Just another memory recorded from their childhood. 

It's funny, that even though I have a Silhouette machine I still use my BigShot more. Does this happen to anyone else?

Toivottavasti en koskaan kyllästy kuusikulmiohin. Käytin sivussa uusinta stanssiani ja Amy Tangerinen 6x6 paperikkoa. Jännä, että vaikka käytettävissä olisi myös Silhouette, BigShot on vaan silti enemmän käytössä kuin se. Onko muilla käynyt näin?

One more iNSD layout

Here is another scrapbook page made to take part in Studio Calicos iNSD2016. 

I really love how that weekend (and a new computer) made me scrapbook and share my scrapbook pages again! Yay to technology and to paper! 

   

The challenge was to do a layout about exercising. Or in my case the lack of it.

I used an Instagram picture of my new trainers, and the color palette came from the picture. The layout was looking kind of dull with only white cardstock as a background so I framed it with dark grey cardstock. Added a pop of yellow just because I wanted to.

Vielä yksi iNSD2016 skräppisivu esille. Tuon viikonlopun ja uuden tietokoneen ansiosta on tullut taas skräpättyä ja myös blogattua, jee! Tämä haaste oli liikuntaan liittyvä. Käytin instagramiin laittamaani kuvaa ja värimaailma lähti siitä. Vähän keltaista joukkoon, ja kun sivu näytti liian laimealta pelkällä valkoisella taustalla, niin laitoin vielä tumma harmaan kartongin kehystämään sivua.  

Birthday Card - Some Odd Girl

Hello! A card for a change this time. I got a card order to make a birthday card to a 18-year old girl with pink. 

I love how well pink goes with blue. Blue must be my new favourite neutral color. I love to make cards out of small scraps that are left after a scrapbooking session. I keep all small scraps in a basket, so they are easy to go thought and pic the ones I like. 

Stamp is a Some Odd Girl digi stamp. I just love digi stamps because they are so easy to use. I usually print out more than one at a time, so I have them on hand when I need them.

Sain korttitilauksen 18-vuotiaalle tytölle, ja väritoiveena pinkki. Pinkin kaveriksi sopii ihanasti sininen väri, josta onkin tullut mun suosikki neutraali väri. Kortti syntyi säläkorin sisällöstä ja Some Odd Girlin digileimalla.
